Oh no, that's the wrong advice, yum is too often too broken, and there
is now no reason to use apt since it got multilib support.

Agreed. One ting is for sure: nvidia, madwifi and probably ivtv will
be broken. Some of them require Red Hat to release a kernel update, so
holding off is a very good idea :=)
