I was seeing them, but I think that was only when I was using xvmc.
Lately I tried with & without xvmc but still had the cpu problem.
Now I don't have any of the rebuffering errors at all. A couple of
"WriteAudio: buffer underrun", but only a couple.
I tried changing a few things based on your input but nothing seems to
help with opengl turned on (as it appears that you have enabled). If I
turn off opengl, it is generally a bit less but still stays very high a
lot of the time.
Could you send your kernel .config (usually from /usr/src/linux/.config)
and a dump of the database (mysqldump mythconverg > db-dump.sql)? I am
thinking I could just blindly try both for testing and see if it helps.
Here is my config:
Intel D955XBK motherboard (using onboard intel hd audio)
Pentium D 3.2 GHz
4 GB RAM
ASUS nvidia 6600 (using svideo out)
seagate 7200rpm 300gb sata hd
2x adaptec AVC-2010
Using alsa output (ALSA:spdif instead of /dev/dsp)
Using 7676 drivers
ubuntu 5.10 (all updated)
custom 2.6.15.6 kernel (mostly just the minimal stuff compiled in that I
know I need)
running the latest rc of alsa drivers (needed to support the spdif on the
intel hd audio)
ivtv 0.4.3
mythtv-0.19-fixes svn (just upgraded)
using standard mpeg decoder
currently not using opengl vsync
Everything really runs fairly well, since the processor is a dual core
then I can actually have 1 of them maxed out with xorg and everything else
still run smoothly, I just don't like it that way.
