Did you have to do anything special to open MPEG2-TS files with 
avidemux2?  I try to open the .nuv file and get some errors (any .nuv, 
regardless if it's HD or SD).  I'll post the errors when I get home but 
basically it says that it can't open the file.

I've triend mencoder using the example DVD command but I end up with a 
lot of skipped frames (1 to 2 every second) and the resulting video 
seems jerky.  I haven't spent a lot of time yet boning up on the 
gazillion (is that a number?) suboptions.  I was overwhelmed by the volume.

Thanks again Steve.  You are a wealth of information.  Thanks to you, I 
was able to get my DCT6412 working at almost 100% (I have to screw 
around with my setup for a while if the PC or the DCT get powered off). 
  Just out of curiosity, which distro do you run Myth on?

Next step, which I hope will be this weekend, is going to .19.  I 
haven't done so yet due to time constraints.
