Well I'm still at it, trying to get a Plextor TV-402U to work on a
MythDora installation.
Once again, the drivers build without errors, but trying to insert
the modules results in :
kernel: snd_go7007: Unknown symbol snd_pcm_new
Mar 8 13:24:08 myther kernel: snd_go7007: disagrees about version of
symbol snd_pcm_lib_ioctl
Mar 8 13:24:08 myther kernel: snd_go7007: Unknown symbol
snd_pcm_lib_ioctl
Mar 8 13:24:08 myther kernel: snd_go7007: disagrees about version of
symbol snd_pcm_set_ops
Mar 8 13:24:08 myther kernel: snd_go7007: Unknown symbol
snd_pcm_set_ops
Mar 8 13:24:08 myther kernel: snd_go7007: disagrees about version of
symbol snd_pcm_period_elapsed
Mar 8 13:24:08 myther kernel: snd_go7007: Unknown symbol
snd_pcm_period_elapsed
And similar errors.
The alsa RPMs are from the AT repository:
[root at myther ~]# rpm -qa | grep alsa
alsa-driver-1.0.10-43.rhfc4.at
alsa-utils-1.0.10-19.rhfc4.at
alsa-kmdl-2.6.15-1.1831_FC4-1.0.10-43.rhfc4.at
alsa-lib-devel-1.0.10-27.rhfc4.at
alsa-lib-1.0.10-27.rhfc4.at
and the kernel RPMs are stock:
[root at myther ~]# rpm -qa | grep kernel
kernel-devel-2.6.15-1.1831_FC4
kernel-2.6.15-1.1831_FC4
Looks like a typical version mis-match to me, but of what? The
drivers were compiled against the RedHat sources for the running kernel
I think I have worn out several hard drives at Google looking for an
answer to this, or even a "next step" to try.
If there is any other info I can supply that might help here please
let me know, this is driving me crazy (not a long trip to be sure).
