What's Tivo? ;)

Splitting up larger programs into smaller segments wouldn't really  
make it act like a Tivo (since that is way too limiting). It would  
just avoid the problem of VERY long programs filling up your hard  
drive by allowing it to expire earlier portions of a program in  
progress.
