[mythtv-users] Can't change channels in Mythtv 0.19-r1 Gentoo

I just fixed this same issue on my box.. Hope its the same solution:

Did you update your kernel at all? if so check our ivtv.. I had to
remove the alias for msp3400_ivtv in modprobe.conf in order to get
channel changes working. I found out what was going wrong by checking
out the kernel messages.. ivtv complained about not finding msp3400
and had some other errors that made the problem apparent. Once I
cleaned all that up, then removed my tuner settings everything worked
great =)
