Myth cannot (yet) record with ALSA devices--it requires an OSS device 
(/dev/dsp or similar) to work.  Turn on ALSA's OSS emulation and you'll 
have an OSS device.  Only ALSA /playback/ is supported (and that's on 
mythfrontend).
