Put it so the audio is just a bit ahead of the video, then stand/sit
farther from the TV.  Since light travels significantly faster than
sound, you'll eventually find the "sweet spot."***

Are you sure that you've got your audio configured properly?  A few
seconds difference usually indicates that you're listening to the audio
as it's being captured instead of as it's being played back.  See

Thanks Mike.  I followed the directions on that HOWTO page.  It worked.
