Like many things Myth, it can be a pain to get going at first. You have
to install the ivtv drivers and that ends up depending on what kernel
version you have, etc.
But my system is based around a PVR-500 and it works quite well. A
PVR-350 has only got one tuner (a 500 has two), and it will likely also
cost more, but that is because the 350 has hardware to help with the
display. Whether or not you need that help is going to depend on what
your CPU power is and what type of video card you have in the machine. a
350 is only useful for connecting directly to a TV. If you are going to
watch TV on your regular monitor, a 350 doesn't help with that.
