[mythtv-users] Stream 0 Overflow

BlankI have the following situation. When I go to watch TV, it tells me that it is recording so I need to go to Watch a Recording. The disk is churning away (for I think the last 7 or 8 hours). When I connect a monitor I see the following scrolling furiously up the screen (the xxx part is changing numbers).:

ivtv0 warning: ENC Stream 0 OVERFLOW #46xxxx: Stealing a Buffer, 512 currently allocated.

I cannot get a bash prompt either through the keyboard or SSH. Of course, for now I am just going to turn the power off, but why is this happening (I am pretty sure I am low on disk space, BTW)? How can I prevent this in the future?

Thanx,
Anil Gupte
