[mythtv-users] Unable to start front end on PPC Mac w Linux Back-end

Check the mysql server isnt listening on localhost or a domain socket only.
something like --skip-networking or --bind=127.0.0.1 in the config file.

If it is listening, use the mysql -h <host> -u <mythuser> -p <password>
and check if that works. If it doesnt, check your local firewall settings.
