[mythtv-users] upgrading an apt-get based FC system, big troubles, need help

anaconda is the installation CD. Just use anaconda. It will render
your kmdl useless, but you'd have to upgrade them anyway. Do the
following:

o Buy some time from family, you never know whather the system will be
  up within the next 3-4h
o Insert the new FC CD and install
o Set-up apt/smart/yum to point to ATrpms 
o Upgrade you system to the latest FC updates including kernel
  errata. The upgrade will also upgrade any old mythtv rpms
o Install all missing kmdl, Use smart fix to check for any further
  damage the installer may have done.
o Pray
o Reboot
