I am currently having some issues changing the LiveTV channel with mythtv.
When I select a new channel to view, mythtv will update the OSD then hang. I
can attempt to escape out of this, but ussally fail. Currently the only way
to recover is to stop the backend, rmmod ivtv, then killall mythfrontend.
Then start everything back up again.

My Capture Hardware – A  PVR150 and a PVR500.

Distro – Ubuntu 6.06

SVN Rev. 10091

Options compiled in:
 linux release using_xvmcw using_v4l using_oss using_alsa using_arts
using_ivtv using_dbox2 using_hdhr using_ip_rec using_lirc using_joystick_menu
using_x11 using_xv using_xrandr using_xvmc using_xvmc_vld using_opengl_vsync
using_opengl using_frontend using_backend

IVTV Version: 0.4.6 (rev 3311)
Kernel: 2.6.15-23

Some things I have noticed in the log files:

Mythbackend -

2006-06-01 01:28:30.303 AFD: SeekReset() flushing

2006-06-01 01:28:38.709 write -> 13 48      BACKEND_MESSAGE[]:[]DONE_RECORDING

The main issue I see is at timestamp: 2006-06-01 01:28:34.379 Error: select
timeout - ivtv driver has stopped responding

IVTV:

Ran IVTV with a ivtv_debug setting of 2 – But I'm not able to find it in my
logs – nothing obvious.

One final note: I am able to tune channels using ivtv-tune. Then direct that
to a file, it works fine. This will not work while I am watching live tv. If
I change the channel of the tunner I am watching, the same issues show up
(locking, hanging...)

Thanks,
Craig Boline.
