[mythtv-users] is mythtv smart enough to do this (overlap/back-to-back) with recordings?

You're right, Bill.  Since the stupid users don't know enough to use our 
wonderful program, we should make it ignore the user's desires.  
Possible names for the functionality:

Autocorrect
Autorecord
Recording Wizard
Intellirecord
My MythTV
Bob

And we can make it hide menu entries that aren't frequently accessed by 
users.  Oh, we'll probably want to make a UI character to pop up and 
tell the users they're not doing what they want to do.  Perhaps we could 
call him Filmy or Mythy or something.

Now this will be a huge step forward in user interface design...  It 
finally gets around the one weak link in the chain:  the user.
