[mythtv-users] Switch to enable "TiVO" like experience? WAS Re:mythtv keeping recordings of everything i watch?

So combining this with the mythtv approach to things, the idea would be 
for tuners to automatically record all the time, but to auto-delete when 
the recording is finished unless the user starts watching it?
(or maybe half an hour after the recording is finished).

ie giving the effective functionality of the TiVo 30 minute live buffer.

Not sure how possible it is (wrong part of mythtv for me), just thinking 
about it and wording it in a way that might help.
