You may want to look at the "Extra Disk Space (in Gigabytes)" and "New 
Recording Free Disk Space Threshold (in Megabytes)" settings. Neither 
are perfect but might may help. The best way is to setup a separate 
partition for your recordings so even if it's 100% full it will not 
effect the other work you do on the system.
