[mythtv-users] Cannot get decryption of Canaldigitaal to work

For the last three months I'm trying to get DVB-S pay-tv working. Tuning to
FTA channels works just fine. Tuning to scrambled channels (to which I have
a subscription) give a channel lock, but subsequently a black screen.

So far I have tried a KNC1 DVB-S adapter and the CineView CI module and a
Twinhan 1030A. For CAMs I have tried both the "original" Canaldigitaal
MediaGuard CAM and the Aston 1.07 CAM. All combinations were tried using the
CanalDigitaal smart card. The same hardware works fine under Windows XP
which proves that the hardware is working and that the subscription is still
valid.

My MythTV setup is SVN r10200 (I also tried SVN r10626 this morning -> no
success either). It runs on Fedora Core 4 with kernel 2.6.16-1.2115_FC4.

When tuning to a (scrambled) channel I get the following messages:

2006-07-24 16:37:19.779 DVB#0 CA Error: CAM supports no CA systems! (Slot
#0)

in the logfile. This message repeats itself at least every second while the
frontend is locked.

Initially I thought the CAM was to blame, that's why I bought the Aston CAM.
This gives exactly the same error message unfortunately. I'm stuck now. I
have searched the archives and googled, but couldn't find anything to help
me beyond this point.

Anyone with a similar setup and more luck? Any pointers to try from here?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Regards,

Jelte
