Don't worry.  (Due to popular whining, ;) Isaac committed a fix that 
prevents any LiveTV recording from being more than 8 hours in length 
(and adjustable through an undocumented setting).  So, no one will ever 
lose everything (unless, of course, they made the mistake of setting up 
a Myth system with 2GB of storage capacity--in which case they should 
lose everything to get the motivation to get a new hard drive).
