[mythtv-users] X Error when watching TV and Guide

I tried that, still the same thing.  In the Appearance section I have it set to QT and not OpenGL.  From the line 'QGLContext::makeCurrent(): Failed.', it looks like it is using OpenGL at some point.

Try:

mythfrontend -O ThemePainter=qt

And, if that works, change the "Paint Engine" in mythfrontend's 
Appearance settings to QT.
