[mythtv-users] HD3000 - PVR250 - Comcast

Hi all,

I'm really confused as to getting the HD3000 to work with comcast HD
cable. My current setup is as follows:

Ubuntu Dapper Drake 64-bit
kernel 2.6.15-23-amd64-generic
mythtv .18
Motorola DCT2500 cable box

I'm current using a basic cable splitter that goes into both the PVR250
card and the HD3000 card. I was trying to get the digital signal direct
from the cable connection with QAM, or maybe try the firewire. Both
cards seem to be recognised by the system from the dmesg output...

Now the PVR250 has device node at /dev/video1 and the HD3000
/dev/video0. I believe this is due to the PCI slot that each one is
installed on. I've read some posts that state that the PVR250 should be
using /dev/video0, but I'm not sure this would make a difference? I
could swap the PCI slots.

Anyway, I've been unsuccessful with the HD3000 card, I've tried using
dtvsignal...
dtvsignal /dev/video0
Signal: 000

I've yet to be able to get any signal into the HD3000, for even testing.
Can someone give me a good link, or any direction to figure this
HD3000 stuff out. The PVR250 card works fine, but I need HD!

Thanks,
Jim
