When you set up a recording schedule, you have the option (in the
storage options sub-menu) of allocating the recording to either a
pre-existing recording group, or of creating a new one. Initially,
there is only a 'Default' group, but you can add new groups as you see
fit.

Once MythTV has recorded shows into different recording groups, it is
a case of entering the Watch Recordings menu, pressing M (or the
remote button bound to the 'Menu' command) and choosing to change the
group filter. You can then select the recording group you wish to
browse, and the recordings list updates to show those recordings
allocated to that group. If you want to change the recording group
filter, pressing M again will again allow you to change the group
filter, or view all recordings.

The ability to create a new recording group is, as far as I can see,
only available in mythfrontend. However, if you use MythWeb to
schedule recordings, you can still allocate new recordings to any
existing recording group available.

Hope this helps answer your question,

Nick
