[mythtv-users] Created wrong username - is it a problem

Nope.

You have a few options here:

- you could recreate the mythtv user as a regular user which would let
you follow Jarod's guide to the letter (and run the backend as user
mythtv or root).
- you could leave the mythtv system user on the system (you can then
run mythbackend with this user) and use the different user you added
to run the frontend (just make sure you substitute your new user for
mythtv in Jarod's guide).
- you could ignore the mythtv system user, run the backend as root
(with all of its security  issues) and run the frontend as your
different username.

On a dedicated MythTV machine, having many user accounts is probably
not required, however, you will want at least one regular user
available for non-root admin.
