[mythtv-users] upgrading from ( FC4 + apt-get ) to FC5

That was my initial idea, in fact, and I discussed it longly 
with Jarod years ago. However I (and I believe lot of other people)
depend on Jarod's guide for my mythbox to be alive and well,
and he isn't updating his guide for the past FC releases.
He assumes that you too have to constantly switch to the same FC release
he is using, if you want to use his guide.

I've already tried (and failed) to stick on FC2 and to apply his 
latest instructions... it won't work, modules are managed differently, etc.
Also, the older guide contains specific tips and workarounds for
a certain myth / ivtv / etc. etc.  versions that are not valid
for current version so I even doubt that you could install a FC2 mythbox
by following Jarod FC2 guide AND using the latest myth / ivtv / etc. versions.

I do agree. That's why I am asking :-)
I have a number of broken PCs since last FC3 -> FC4 upgrade,
and they are too seriously compromised for my skills to fix them by hand.
I'd like (hope) to fix things by upgrading to FC5,
which will be however necessary for me when Jarod will definitely swith
his guide to FC5...
