[mythtv-users] Double keystrokes problem in (some) frontend menus

I have a very strange problem using the mythfrontend. I am getting double keystrokes (keyboard only) navigating in the 3D, sub-menus. Example: System Status. All QT style, 2D, menus are fine, only the 3D looking ones with the boxes and shading are afflicted. That means the main menu, setup menus are all fine. I have tried every theme available.


  I have searched the mailing list and see that double keystrokes are related to lirc. I do not need a remote so I recompiled disabling lirc. Still the same problem. 
  I searched the archives again. Another user is experiencing the same problem with a keyboard only setup and someone suggested that enabling native lirc fixed his problem on three systems. Next step, enabling native lirc, looking at settings.pro it appears that 0.18.1 doesn't use this configuration any more and lirc is auto detected.

I'm using Debian Sid with all packages up to date. I have tried binaries and several compiles using various options.  This is driving me crazy since everything else works perfectly. I need a strong drink... make that a double... Cheers!

I am using a PVR150MCE + ivtv 0.4.2.
