This is unfortunate; I've been thinking for a while about putting one or 
the other of various hauppage flavors in my machine, but about every 
other day, or at least once per week, there is a post to the mythttv 
users list about some new bug or problem with IVTV.  Sorry, this post 
can't really help, just thinking out loud.
Basically for hardware encoding ivtv is the only driver and for the most 
part the only cards that work are hauppage PVRs, is that right?
