The harddisks shouldn't be an issue as far as I know, but it may be
worthwhile using LVM when partitioning your media storage partitions,
depending on how you want to 'add' the extra space. (ie. I have a directory
on my system called /video, which utilises about 50Gb from one of my disks
and the whole 250Gb of the other. I achieved this using LVM. It also allows
me to add extra space to the volume at a later date if I need to.
Unfortunately, JFS doesn't allow you to shrink volumes and that's what I am
using. Other formats do allow for this though.)
