bmayland (CC'ed) started a thread on 15 June 2005 showing dramatic
differences in sharpness between the two cards, with the 250 winning.
He also said he'd do some more experimentation; Bryan, did you come
up any any further results? (I'm particularly interested in RF-in,
but I also use composite-in.)
Also, ivtv can't do NTSC sliced VBI closed-captioning on the 150/500
yet, because Hans and the rest of the ivtv crew haven't been able to
reverse-engineer that part so far. The 250/350 do it just fine.
(If the sharpness and CC differences between the 250/350 series and
the 150/500 series get resolved, then my next purchase will be a 500,
but until then, I'm going to waste PCI slots and get 250's since
they'll work better for me. Assuming, of course, they're still being
made at that point---I sure hope so.)
