I have 1080i working on my 6600 over DVI->HDMI, but didn't bother with
component with the following modeline:

        ModeLine     "1920x1080i" 74.2 1920 2008 2052 2200 1080 1084 1089
1125 +hsync +vsync interlace

Let me know if you need more - it looks great on my set (JVC HD-61FH96).
