Todd,

I had a very similar experience. I realised my 6200 wouldn't change  
channels, I replaced the firewire board etc and was scratching my  
head as to what had changed.

About a day later the cable box failed completely! The replacement  
has been working fine ever since. It's certainly possible that this  
is a problem with your cable box...
