The AOpen EQ-915 with the fanless nvidia video card is using a Pentium
3.4Ghz  and makes less noise during typical TVHD playback than my Panasonic
AE-900 projector.
so it's definitely quiet enough to run as both backend and frontend, and
plenty of guts to decode HD (it sits at around 78% idle when watching 1080i
program)
