mythbackend.log was indeed my friend. here is what I saw:
2006-02-23 00:03:27.668 TVRec(1): Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
2006-02-23 00:03:27.669 ChannelBase: Could not find input: Tuner 0 on
card when setting channel 64
2006-02-23 00:03:27.669 TVRec(1) Error: Failed to set channel to 64.
2006-02-23 00:03:27.672 New DB connection, total: 3
2006-02-23 00:03:27.690 Connected to database 'mythconverg' at host:
192.168.1.104
2006-02-23 00:03:27.697 TVRec(1) Error: Channel: '' was not found in the
database.
Most likely, your DefaultTVChannel setting is wrong.
Could not start livetv.
2006-02-23 00:03:27.697 TVRec(1) Error: CreateLiveTVRingBuffer() failed
2006-02-23 00:03:27.697 TVRec(1) Error: Failed to create RingBuffer 2
And indeed, when I went to setup, Capture Card Setup - my default input
was setup for Tuner0. If I pull down the available options - it doesn't
show Tuner0 - just Tuner (and Composites, etc.). So, once I changed it
to Tuner - everything started working!
Thank you very much for your help!
