Normally you're supposed to be able to change this setting in the
recording profiles screen. If you cannot change that setting in the
recording profiles screens, it means that maybe your sound card doesn't
support 32000, which would be odd I think, your soundcard drivers are
not working properly, or maybe your database is damaged. I believe
these settings are stored in the database - to check the db I believe
you run sqlcheck mythconverg or something like that. Better google
it. First though, what sound card do you have and what drivers are you
using?
Also, what is the output of the backend when you try and change this
value (either look at the terminal, if the daemon is running on startup
I think you can check its output with dmesg (someone correct me on that
if not), or enable logging in the settings menus and check the backend
log, see what it says when you try and change the sample rate setting.
