You really cant beat mutt as far as speed is concerned. At work, I get
output from many scripts, logcheck, netsaint/nagios, mailing lists,
etc, so it amounts to a few thousand emails each day, and 238 mail folders.
With a few procmail recipies and mutt, its pretty quick to manage all this.
I shudder to think about a GUI client trying to process it all.
