did you check that 'useonairguide' in table 'channel' is set to '1'?

i do get errors about eit not working after importing channels.conf
instead of doing a full scan ("EITHelper: chanid not found for
atscsrcid" with mythbackend -v eit). 

a temporary fix was 'update channel set channum = serviceid', but
after looking at get_chan_id_from_db in eithelper.cpp this looks
illogical.
