Do you really need some sort of program to tell you that you just
spent 20 seconds scrolling past quotes to read one line of new
content ???

I guess I'm the only one here using Apple's Mail 2.0.5, if I'm at
home using my iMac G5. Nice wide screen and it can access my other
machines via VNC and/or SSH. Very fast for Video conversions. "Mail"
is simple but it works and serves my needs.

If using a Linux machine directly I use Thunderbird.

On my Windows machines I, wait a minute, I don't *have* any Windows
machines.

My mail server runs Cyrus Imap and postfix, on a Linksys NSLU2 "slug"
running Debian, so I can customize the imap folders at the server
level. It's nice to have an $80 6-watt mail server.
