Mike,

You can probably answer this one, but I've been wondering since
starting to use MythTV why it requires its own lircrc file and cannot
use ~/.lircrc directly like other LIRC-enabled programs? I answered an
identical query to this one the other day (missing period), but it got
me wondering again why the symlink needs to be there and why Myth
doesn't automatically default to ~/.lircrc.
