Awesome!  it's also important to note for visitors to this thread:  You
must call any app that will use an x wimdow display as the user which
the x-window-manger is running.  Which for most of our cases will be
mythtv.  ( see: ps -auxww|grep x-win )  You will drive yourself crazy
trying this as root.
