[mythtv-users] X won't start with Nvidia 8178 drivers

Is there any particular reason why most people are running 7676? I'm running
6629 and have been holding off on upgrading since there seems to be some
debate over which particular set of nvidia drivers work well. Does 7676
perform noticeably better than 6629 or other earlier sets of drivers?
