For Fedora its /lib/firmware/.

/me just bought two new HDTV cards last night -- Airstar HD5000 and  
FusionHDTV 5 Lite... Gotta start really filling up my new 1.5TB  
backend, and should probably finally write some useful stuff about  
configurationifying HDTV cards... :)
