Kinda, but not quite.

(I don't expect anyone here is really likely to be affected by the
difference, but I'll point it out anyway, for the archives... :-)

While both are managed services (carrier equipment at *your* end of the
loop; they call *you* when it breaks, etc), Frac-T customarily
guarantees you that you can slam the channel to about 95% bandwidth
100% of the time.

On Frame Relay, there's this little bugaboo called Committed
Information Rate.  That's the thing that determines your billing rate,
and it's almost never 100%.

Not even that, much, anymore.

You can direct someone over streaming audio, and high-bitrate mp3 or
FLAC is good enough for delivery.

I think you mostly see ISDN in the broadcast business these days for
long-term remotes, though admittedly, I haven't talked to my radio
buddies in a while...
