I've been sitting on some updates that needed to be done and I haven't
done any kernel or glibc updates thru apt and especially not any
mythtv updates. I wanted to get just some ideas as to what others have
done when they went through this.
These are the updates it's wanting to apply:
The following packages will be upgraded
alsa-driver alsa-lib alsa-utils apt atrpms atrpms-package-config
beecrypt glibc glibc-common glibc-devel glibc-headers ivtv
ivtv-firmware
ivtv-firmware-dec ivtv-firmware-enc libXvMCW libasound2 libmyth
librpm4.3 libvorbis libvorbis-devel libxml2 libxml2-devel
libxml2-python libxml2_2
lirc lirc-lib mythbrowser mythdvd mythgallery mythgame mythmusic
mythnews mythphone mythplugins mythtv mythtv-backend mythtv-frontend
mythtv-setup
mythtv-suite mythtv-themes mythvideo mythweather mythweb nptl-devel
nvidia-graphics-helpers popt rpm rpm-build rpm-devel rpm-python
up2date
up2date-gnome yum
The following NEW packages will be installed:
alsa-kmdl-2.6.12-1.1381_FC3 ivtv-kmdl-2.6.12-1.1381_FC3
kernel#2.6.12-1.1381_FC3 libbeecrypt6 librpm4.4 libvorbis0
libvorbisenc2 libvorbisfile3
libxml2-python24 rpm-python24
My thoughts is to stop mythbackend and then run the dist-upgrade.
Anything I'm missing?
Thanks.
