I have an amd64 (3000+) running 64 bit Debian SID, nForce4 chipset, and a
PCI Express video card with the nVidia 6600. XvMC wants to work on my
setup. I say it wants to work because it starts playing (live TV or
recorded programs, makes no difference) and plays for a seemingly random
amount of time before the screen freezes. If I pause then unpause the
video, playback resumes for another random amount of time.

Hopefully I'll get a chance to compile with debugging and gt some
information useful for fixing this issue.
