[mythtv-users] Which Modules? -- ivtv or Kernel?

I'm running Gentoo kernel 2.13-r5. I also have the dvb modules from the 
kernel to support my HD-3000 card. Am I supposed to use the ivtv modules 
or the kernel modules? I have ivtv 0.4.2 (the latest version from portage).
