Is there a searchable archive for this list? Barring that,. does anyone
know if there is a utility I can use to download/import the online
GZIPed archives and then search that?

I hate to ask questions that have been done to death. I recently setup
a 10$ MythTV box to play with(got an old WinTV card for 10$ from a PC,
got an old Pentium III Del Optiplex GX1 that was being gotten rid of
from a goverment contracting company). Mind you, this system will
certainly be no speed demon, nor with a 10G hard drive will it be
recording lots of shows, but I'd rather experiment on junky hardware and
make sure the concept works before spending real money.

I've got FC4 up and running, MyhtTV is running, MythWeb works great for
recording shows. Only problem I have now is I need to find a way to
convert these NUV files into AVI files that Windows Media Player will
recognize(then I have more tweaks to make). I was able to get mencoder
isntalled and use it to convert the NUV files to AVI's that VLC would
read(but VLC was reading the NUV files just fine). I was able to take
the AVI files from mencoder and pass them through FFMPEG and convert
them to files Media Player will read, but the sound is out of synch(in
both media player and VLC, so it's not a Microsoft issue - yet).

So, any thoughts on what to do next? I expect the best answer is to
read the archices, so anyone have a suggestion for building a searchable
archive?

-Gary
