I went in a different direction.  I ended up saving all of the mpg
files.  This way I could look at the filesizes and drop all of the ones
that were too small.  Then of the ones with fairly decent sizes I could
check them with mplayer.

An idea along this front would probably be for people doing QAM with
their HD-3000 cards to post their (WORKING) channels.conf files, along
with their zipcodes and cable systems that they're using...

Is the channel scanner within Myth slated to be fully operational
(meaning - no atscscan and no azap scans) before or after the 0.19
release?  Because at this point, it's a real PITA to get working... ;(
I had it working last year, but not to the point that I could record any
programs reliably without SERIOUS artifacts and dropouts...
