So how exactly to do I determine what the native mode of my TV is?  All I
can determine from the manual is that it "supports 1080i, 720p, 480i,
480p."
Secondly, I'm currently outputting using a VGA --> VGA connection, going
into the PC input on the TV.  I've heard from others around here that by
using the VGA input, you don't really need a modeline.  If that's true, then
do I really even need to touch the xorg.conf file at all??

I wouldn't mind trying a DVI --> HDMI connection instead, but if there's no
benefit in terms of picture quality that it seems like it might be a waste
of time.
