What did you get to resolve it? I have it recording to a 250 gig
Hitachi Deskstar... It's a 7200 RPM ATA133 with 8mb cache running on a
ATA100 controller. I don't see how the math works that this wouldn't be
enough.

hdparm /dev/hdb
 multcount    =  0 (off)
 IO_support   =  1 (32-bit)
 unmaskirq    =  1 (on)
 using_dma    =  1 (on)
 keepsettings =  0 (off)
 readonly     =  0 (off)
 readahead    = 256 (on)
 geometry     = 30401/255/63, sectors = 488397168, start = 0

hdparm -Tt /dev/hdb
/dev/hdb:
 Timing cached reads:   984 MB in  2.00 seconds = 490.99 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads:  136 MB in  3.01 seconds =  45.21 MB/sec

If it takes 6.3gig for 1hr of 1080i... Doesn't that work out to be about
1.8 MB/sec? Seems like it easily has more than enough capability.... Am
I wrong?
