Cheers for the ./mythtfrontend -v all.  Didn't know about doing that. 
I've included the output below, but the problem that was stopping it 
from launching wasn't it couldn't find the theme I had on the older 
MythFrontend.  I've moved the missing theme into the themes directory 
and now it launches.  I'm off to try and sort out getting MythVideo 
working now.

What do you recommend for the default video player on OS X?
