Not really a solution to your question but I’ll post this for those who 
search the list for socked 940 boards.

I am liking the look of this

It doesn’t have any PCI-X slots but it’s got a lot of SATA ports and 
being a socket 940 motherboard it takes buffered error checking ram 
which I quite like the idea of.

It’s only got 1 PCI slot but you could get a PVR 500 & USB or Firewire 
capture devices and if you really need to use some existing PCI stuff 
stick it in a slave backend that’s switched on with WOL only when it’s 
needed.
