Oh nifty. I knew some people had some RCA remotes that apparently
sent the XBox IR codes, didn't know if it could be reprogrammed to
read other codes too.

Sweet. Pity my relationship with LIRC has never been a good one. I'll
have to look that up. Aren't there like LIRC presets that one can try
to find, or use?
